What is rebounding?

Using a mini trampoline, is called rebounding. It is one of the best forms of exercise as it uses every muscle in the body and has multiple benefits, including improved strength, balance, co-ordination and general fitness. Having a mini trampoline at home and the fun of bouncing on it can motivate kids to be more active.

Why rebounding?

It is often quoted that rebounding is one of the most effective all over body work outs.  Evidence for this includes research conducted by NASA many years ago. While rebounding has existed for more than fifty years, it is the analysis of more recent scientific evidence that has given us an understanding of the benefits of this low impact but high intensity exercise.

The many benefits of rebounding include:

  • Strengthening of the core muscles
  • Stimulation of every body cell
  • Strengthening of the bones
  • Stimulation of the lymphatic system
  • Improved posture
  • Reduced back and neck pain
  • Increased flexibility

The most important thing though is that as an activity for children (and adults) it’s fun!

PS – For adults interested in rebounding, we would highly recommend the bellicon mini trampoline – it’s what we use. For more information, please visit their website.
